Why are a few reviews 1 or 2-stars when many others seem to like this place? Google should allow more ways to feedback on reviews that are iffy. I tried the lunch buffet for the first time today and I really like it. Ambience of the place is nice, the place filled up very quickly yet noise level was bearable, unlike some places when you'd give up talking to one another above the din. The food tasted fresh and was hot, refills were quick as the staff and cook is constantly monitoring and refilling. Taste is 4/5 for me, I'd come back again another day. Serving staff is efficient, there's only 1 lady and she was buzzing around with a water jug, showing new customers to their tables and clearing plates very quickly. I wanted to give this place 4 stars but the server's (Supreet, if I got the spelling right) friendliness and efficiency brings it up to 5 stars! Do read between the lines when reviewers rate lowly, I just think it's not fair for criticism that's non-constructive especially when it doesn't provide a true picture of a place or restaurant.

This must be a family business As they take care of everything and work passionately, they have real Indian food, real clay ovens, very good service. food taste really good, doesn't make me feel like I am eating a mess if that make sense, as I feel sometimes with Indian food of some other places, I was surprised they have open buffet, main common dishes, I think it was for 17cad, but when I got home remembered about the dessert, I don't think they had any, not sure though! The food seems and feel very clean, again, if that make sense, which this is really important. Haha Highly recommended give it a shot you will be happy

We absolutely love Clay's Oven! We've been here three times now, and each visit has been better than the last. The butter chicken is absolutely amazing — rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. The buffet on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday is hands down the best we've had. The variety and quality of the dishes are incredible, and you can really tell the care that goes into the cooking. The food quality just keeps getting better and better every time we visit. Highly recommend Clay's Oven to anyone looking for delicious, authentic food and a great dining experience!

Clay oven is one of our favorite restaurants in Alberta and definitely the most favorite Indian Buffet. The atmosphere is warm, servers very friendly, food is hot, items replenished often *especially the crisp hot YUMMY Naan, the cold selections are delish including a *fresh* green salad which is very rare to find at other Indian buffets visited. There is a great variety of selections for both lunch and dinner buffets which also include several tasty vegetarian dishes. I like that we can see them cooking too. Attention to cleanliness is visible. Thank you to all the Team at Clay Oven for providing such consistent wonderful and affordable dining experiences!!

Delicious Indian restaurant. We find their taste to be authentic. Butter chicken is definitely my favourite along with fish pakora. I highly recommend anyone to go there. Mango lassi is sub par but love the overall food and experience!

I have been trying to come here for the last 3 times, very loosely as I never made any reservations. This time my girlfriend and I decided to make a stop here before prime times (6pm) and never regretted this decision. Sue has taken care of us with offering their specialty and also educating us on these specialty food dishes. One of my favourites was the papri chat. We also ordered their specialty clay oven dish the Tandori chicken, alongside with the butter chicken and garlic naan. Thank you clay oven and happy holidays
